LoveAll Ladder format and expectations.
WEEKLY MATCH NIGHT
- Matches are played on one designated night each week. A match night consists of two matches.
- Matches are pre-assigned by a coach based on who signs up each week, and places are limited.
- We aim for similar-level matches, but you should expect to play both higher and lower ranked opponents.
CHALLENGE MATCHES
- Players can challenge others outside the weekly match nights.
- To count toward the ladder, the same format applies.
- Players can choose full singles or half court for challenge matches.
MATCH FORMAT
- Three tiebreaker sets, first to 7, sudden death at 6-6.
- Drop and hit to start each point. No serving required.
- Swap ends at the end of each set.
RATINGS
- Players are given an initial rating when they join (default 1000 unless seeded).
- You gain more points for beating higher-rated players and fewer for beating lower-rated players.
- Ratings can be protected for injury or travel.
